Indeed, the latest version is 5.1.0, and it was released a week ago. It
has many improvements compared to previous versions.
However, the rename entity should have worked in all previous versions
of Protege. I am quite curious which version of Protege you had before,
where this problem occurred. Maybe it was only a refresh issue (note:
you can force the refreshment of the UI with Window -> Refresh User
Interface).
If you install the new version of Protege it is recommended that you
reset the layout through the Window -> Reset selected tab to default
state menu, to take advantage of the improved Entities tab.

Post by Lorenz BuehmannPlease use the latest Protege release and not a Beta version.
Hello,
I use protege 5.0.0. beta 17, and want to rename a class.
When highlighting the class, and then: "Refactor" -> "Rename entity",
I can enter a new name,
but it creates a NEW class and does not rename the old class.
What is wrong here?
